Hyper-Kamiokande Design Report Released

Prof. T. Kobayashi, Prof. T. Nakaya and Prof. M. Shiozawa have been awarded the Yoji Totsuka Memorial Prize!(20 Feb. 2015)

Prof. T. Kobayashi (KEK), Prof. T. Nakaya (Kyoto Univ.) and Prof. M. Shiozawa (ICRR) have been awarded the Yoji Totsuka Memorial Prize to "The discovery of electron neutrino appearance from an accelerator-produced muon neutrino beam " by the Heisei Foundation for Basic Science.

They are members of International Board Representative of Hyper-Kamiokande.

The award ceremony is held on 21 Mar. 2015.

Inaugural Symposium of the Hyper-Kamiokande Proto-Collaboration will be held. (19 Jan. 2015)

A research proto-collaboration will be formed to advance the Hyper-Kamiokande project internationally and a symposium commemorating the event will be held on 31st Jan. 2015.
* General public can not attend the symposium.

The 6th Open Meeting for the Hyper-Kamiokande Project will be held on 28th-31st January, 2015.

Prof. Takashi Kobayashi and Prof. Tsuyoshi Nakaya have been awarded the Nishina Memorial Prize!(24 Nov. 2014)

Takashi Kobayashi is a professor of physics at the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK). Tsuyoshi Nakaya is a professor of physics at Kyoto University. They have been awarded the Nishina Memorial Prize to "The discovery of oscillations from muon neutrinos to electron neutrinos".

The Hyper-Kamiokande project has been selected as one of "the important large-scale projects" for Master Plan 2014 of the Science Council of Japan. (28 Feb. 2014)

The Science Council of Japan have announced the "Japanese Master Pland for Large Research Projects (Master Plan 2014)".

The Hyper-Kamiokande project has been selected as one of "the 27 Important Large-scale Research Projects"
